Le Marché Duty Free is a premium shopping destination at the Eurotunnel Terminal. Since April 2024, we’ve been offering travelers a curated selection of tax-free products. We collaborate with over 1000 prestigious brands in Alcohol & Tobacco, Perfume & Cosmetics, Confectionery & Gastronomy, Fashion & Accessories, …and a special focus on French products.

You will engage with international customers and contribute to providing a high-quality customer experience.

FAQ

Do you request minimum experience ?

No, not necessarily. We prioritize motivated, reliable individuals with a strong service orientation. Training is provided on arrival.

Is a minimum level of English required ?

A good level of English is necessary (B2 level), especially for sales positions. You will speak English on a daily basis with our international customers.

What types of contracts do you offer ?

When positions are available, we recruit:

  • Fixed-term contracts, particularly during peak periods (summer and end-of-year
  • Permanent contracts
  • Temporary contracts through our temp agency

What about working hours ?

The work involves shift work (morning, day, afternoon, evening, night) and rotating shifts (weekends and bank holidays). Night shifts, bank holidays, and Sunday work are normally part of the job, as the site operates 24/7.

For operational roles, the working hours are 32 hours per week, equivalent to full-time and paid 35 hours.

Can you come to work without a personal vehicle ?

The Channel Tunnel site is located in Coquelles, and given the shift work schedule, public transportation is not always available. A driver’s license and a vehicle are therefore necessary.

What is the onboarding process like ?

  • On arrival, you will benefit from a structured onboarding process :
  •  Half a day with the HR team (discovering the company, rules and regulations, understand your work environment, share best practices, …)
  • Half a day of on-site familiarisation (collective welcome on the shop floor or in the Warehouse with the Manager and a mentor)
  • A full day of practical training (individual training with your mentor)
  • Support from the team throughout the onboarding period

And after a fixed-term contract ?

Depending on the level of activity and the current job positions open, you can have some opportunities. In this situation, Flexibility, commitment, and professionalism are the key criteria for considering a temp contract renewal or a change to permanent contract.
